Write observable expectations

State the expected output, the standard, and the review date. Replace "improve attitude" with the behaviors and communication the role requires.

Give the worker the document and a chance to respond before the plan starts.

Record feedback and support

Keep dated examples of the gap and the support provided: training, clearer instructions, additional review, or adjusted access.

Do not rely on a single end-of-period summary. The record should show what happened week by week.

Review and decide

Hold the review on the scheduled date. Record whether the expectation was met, extended, or changed.

Store the record under the retention policy and limit access. The purpose is a fair decision, not a permanent file of complaints.
