Philippines First-Month Role Scope Review

Compare a new employee’s actual work with the approved role, access, training, queue, and manager boundaries.

Published September 2, 2026. A first-month scope review checks whether the role being performed matches the work that was approved. It is a process checkpoint, not a substitute for performance review or an invitation to widen duties informally.

Compare recurring tasks, exceptional requests, systems used, data handled, schedule, manager, review cadence, and output definitions against the role brief and onboarding record.

Classify each difference as approved evolution, temporary coverage, unclear instruction, unapproved scope, unused access, missing training, or unknown. Preserve examples and let responsible owners decide changes.

Review access against current tasks and remove permissions that no longer have a business purpose. Schedule training and update examples before accepting a new recurring duty.

Close with an accepted role version, named open decisions, owners, and review date. Employment, pay, classification, policy, and consequence decisions remain with authorized management and advisers.
