Philippines HR Attendance Exception Log
Separate attendance data, reported exceptions, and manager decisions in a practical support log.
An attendance exception log records the worker reference, work period, source record, reported issue, current state, follow-up owner, and decision reference. A missing punch or late entry identifies a question; it does not establish the reason or the outcome.
A Philippines-based administrator can compare the schedule, attendance record, and submitted note, then route an unresolved item. The manager, HR owner, or payroll owner decides correction, policy treatment, communication, and any formal consequence.
Keep the original entry and later correction connected rather than overwriting the first value. Limit personal explanations to the approved record and expose only the status needed by the operating queue.
Compare the same work period across the schedule, time record, and approved explanation. If the sources disagree, name the mismatch and its owner; do not infer absence, misconduct, or payable time from one incomplete field.
Close an exception only when the decision reference and resulting record are present. A corrected punch and a manager’s explanation answer different questions, so retain both events for the next review.
