Scope and operating boundary
A manager-change record includes the worker reference, prior manager, proposed manager, effective date, approval source, affected systems, and follow-up owner. A planned announcement is not the same as an approved and implemented reporting-line change.
Workflow and evidence controls
A records coordinator can compare the approved change with directory and roster entries, identify mismatches, and route system confirmations. HR or management decides the relationship, timing, communications, and any access implications.
Quality review and exceptions
Preserve the old relationship and the new relationship as dated values. Link confirmations to the change event so later reviewers can distinguish planning, approval, and implementation.
