Philippines HR Payroll Input Cutover Checklist

Move payroll input preparation to a Philippines-based support role with a clear cutover, review, and stop point.

A cutover checklist should identify the payroll period, source records, input fields, validation owner, approval owner, and final handoff time. Start with preparation and reconciliation; do not combine those tasks with payment authority or policy interpretation.

A payroll administrator can assemble approved changes, compare totals or fields with source records, and list unresolved items. The employer, payroll provider, or designated reviewer decides corrections, approval, tax treatment, and release.

Run one period with parallel review before changing the normal owner. Keep the old and new handoff steps visible, and stop the cutover when a source record or approval cannot be explained.

Define the cutover boundary in operational terms: which approved changes arrive before the handoff, which late items wait for review, and who records an exception. For a correction to a bank or attendance field, the administrator should identify the source and variance without deciding the payment treatment.

After the parallel period, compare the prepared packet with the reviewer’s corrections and update the checklist itself. Do not judge the cutover from speed alone; an unexplained field, missing approval, or unclear stop rule is a control failure even when the file was delivered on time.
